On February 18, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al-Hassan, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in Iraq and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), visited the Bayti Housing Project, a development by Modon Real Estate, a subsidiary of Al Handal International Group. He was warmly received by Mr. Noor Noori Al Handal, Deputy CEO of Al Handal International Group and Modon Real Estate, alongside Mr. Yousef Al Handal and other distinguished guests.
During the visit, he expressed deep admiration for the Bayti Housing Project, praising its modern infrastructure, thoughtful design, and positive impact on the local community. He commended the initiative for delivering high-quality housing solutions that contribute to the development and stability of the Salah al-Din Governorate.
As part of the tour, the UN representative explored the Al-Maqam Bazaar in Wadih Square, where he engaged with local artisans and admired their handcrafted goods. He applauded their efforts in preserving traditional craftsmanship and fostering economic growth.
The itinerary also included a stop at the historic Hajja Hadiya Mosque, where he appreciated its architectural elegance and spiritual significance. Acknowledging its deep cultural and historical value, he highlighted its role in the region’s heritage.
The visit reinforced the United Nations' commitment to supporting Iraq’s development and strengthening community resilience. In response, Al Handal International Group and Modon Real Estate expressed their gratitude and reaffirmed their dedication to Iraq’s urban development and economic progress.
