We are honored that our Managing Director, Omar Al Handal, was chosen for the Second Cohort of the program, gaining valuable insights to strengthen our leadership approach and family business longevity.

This program is thoughtfully designed to equip second and third-generation leaders with the tools and knowledge essential for effective governance, Strategic management, and seamless succession planning—key elements for ensuring long-term success.

According to 2021 statistics released by the Ministry of Economy, family businesses play a vital role in the UAE’s economy, representing 90% of private companies, contributing 40% to the GDP, and employing over 70% of the private sector workforce.

As a third-generation family holding business headquartered in Dubai, Al Handal International Group is committed to preserving our legacy while embracing innovation and progress. Programs like this inspire us to make meaningful contributions to Dubai’s economic development while aligning with its ambitious vision for the future.

Developed in collaboration with the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), the program offers a comprehensive curriculum featuring advanced training in Dubai, virtual sessions, personalized mentoring, and a capstone week in Switzerland with global family business leaders. It also aligns closely with Dubai’s forward-thinking strategies, including the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and Dubai Social Agenda 33, further emphasizing the pivotal role of family businesses in driving the national economy.
